Ruthanna Elizabeth (Betty) Sitts, 91, passed away surrounded by her family January 4, 2017 at Hospice House of Reno County, Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born July 21, 1925 in Atchinson, Kansas, the daughter of Frank and Mary Peters. A dedicated wife and mother, she was a retired bartender and waitress.

She was a competitive bowler for over 40 years, loved to play bingo, and go to the horse races. Taking care of her family and friends was her top priority in life.

On July 3, 1943 she married G. C. (Willie) Wilson in St. Charles, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 30, 1974. She married Asa Sitts on July 2, 1981 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He passed away on August 29, 2008.

Survivors include 1 son, Larry Wilson of Hutchison, Kansas; 1 daughter, Nancy Potter of Hutchinson, Kansas; 2 step sons, Dick Sitts of Arizona, and, Ron Sitts of Colorado; 3 grandchildren, Barry Nickel, Bob Miner, Timmy Pucek; 7 great grandchildren, Meagan (Adam) Higgins, Brittney Bullock, Lindsey Miner, Haylee and Heath Nickel, Justin and Bobby Pucek; 4 great great grandchildren, Sebastian, Shyann, and, Sawyer Cullison, and, Londyn Parish. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

A gathering for family and friends will be Friday, January 6, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Old Mission - Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established and gifts may by made to the Hospice House of Reno County and left in care of the funeral home.
