Obituary

Sally Joan Blake, 86, of South Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away May 20, 2019 at Mennonite Friendship Communities, South Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born on September 30, 1932 in Alsea, Oregon, the daughter of Kenneth and Ruth Fetterling. She was a dedicated homemaker to her family.

She was a member of the Gospel Chapel of Hutchinson. For 18 years she and her husband, Everett, were active members to the Christian Motorcycle Association and would travel all over Kansas. She loved to sing in the choir and also for years served as solo vocalist for the CMA.

On February 10, 1956 she married Everett Allen Blake in Smolan, Kansas. He survives of the home after 63 years of marriage.

Other survivors include 2 sons, Allen (Cindy) Blake of Galveston Island, Texas and Ken (Cheryl) Blake of Salina, Kansas; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, Bill Fetterling.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gospel Chapel, 2005 N. Hendricks, Hutchinson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Gospel Chapel and left in care of the church.
