Sally Louise ( Pigg)  Knapp, 86, was born on January 12, 1934 in McPherson, Kansas, the daughter of William and Lela ( Sherrill) Pigg.  She married John Beardmore in 1950 and they had three children.  They lived in Wichita, Kansas until 1958.  They moved to Mt. Pleasant, Michigan for a better job for John and two years later they transferred to Alma, Michigan with the same company.  In 1967 they moved to Dallas for job advancement with Hunt Oil Company.  They divorced in 1970.  Sally worked in real estate after the divorce and married Corwin Knapp in 1975.  He died of cancer in 1980.  After his death, Sally earned an R.N., and B.S. degree from Texas Woman's University and an M.S.W. from the University of Texas at Arlington.  She was a psychiatric nurse from 1984 to 1989 and then as a manager in Managed Healthcare until her retirement in 1999.  Sally was a breast cancer survivor and resided in Dallas until 2015 when she returned to McPherson to live in assisted living at Brookdale where her sister, Dona resided.  Sally volunteered for the Dallas Food Bank, DFW airport, and Dallas theater.  She was an avid reader and traveled extensively.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.  She died peacefully on December 18, 2020 in McPherson.

Sally was survived by: her sisters, Frances Brown of Fair Oaks, CA and Alice Schmidt of Gastonia, NC; her daughter, Teresa Tyler of San Antonio, TX; her son, Randy Beardmore of Addison, TX;  her two granddaughters, Kelly Tyler Dixon of Austin, TX and Tracy Tyler Smith of Spring, TX.  She had many nieces and nephews as well.  Her son, John, passed away on April 2, 2020.

Cremation has taken place.  Due to the Covid restrictions a celebration of her life is pending at this time.
