Sandi Louise Thiessen Horton, 64, passed away September 1, 2013. She was
born May 23, 1949 to Abe. R. and the late Sara Regehr Thiessen.
Sandi married the love of her life, R. Everett J. Horton, May 31, 1969. He died
December 9, 2003.
Her lifelong work was committed to establishing a strong Christian home to raise
her children and support her husband. She lived a life devoted to her Lord and
Savior, Jesus Christ.
Sandi is survived by her father, four children: Audrey Horton (Joe Gonzales), Eric
(Sarah), Allison (Ryan Mackey); Staci Horton; and a grandson, John. The years
also brought Joel and Rebecca East, and their children, Rachel, Josh and Caleb
to be a part of Sandi's immediate family. In addition there are 4 surviving sisters,
Carol (Gene) Lightner, Sharon (Jerry) Vannorsdel, Keri (Wendell) Miller, Shirley
Kroeker.
She was welcomed to heaven by her husband, mother, a granddaughter
Samantha, in-laws Martee and Lee Horton, a brother in law, Irvin Kroeker.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 4, 2013 from 5:00 - 8:00pm with the
family present from 5:30 to 7:30 at Old Mission - Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N.
Main, Hutchinson. Home going celebration will be held Thursday, September 5,
2013 at 2:00 pm at The Father's House Church, 1520 E. 20th, Hutchinson,
Kansas.
Donations in Sandi's memory can be made to New Horizons Foundation and left
in care of the funeral home.
