Sharon Lee Lacey, 78, passed away December 3, 2017 at Hospice House of Reno County, Kansas, Hutchinson, Kansas. The daughter of Kenneth and Mary Anna Pratt, she was born in Lawrence, Kansas on May 20, 1939. She was retired from Hutchinson Public Library where she served as librarian.
She was a member of First Congregational Church; she belonged to TOPS group, loved collecting windmill pictures, playing dominos and cards with the Good Samaritan Card Group, sewing, working on stained glass. Some of her most memorable moments were working with her husband, Bob in their woodworking shop.
On July 31, 1960 she married L. Robert Lacey in Kansas City, Kansas. He preceded her in death on September 19, 2013. Other survivors include 1 son, Robert (Shannon) Lacey of McPherson, Kansas; 2 daughters, Robin (Terry) Krehbiel of Pretty Prairie, Kansas, and, Sherri (Mike) Green of Clay Center, Kansas; 1 brother, Mickey (Sandi) Pratt of Hamilton, Georgia; 1 sister, Georgia (Jake) Brokaw of Basehor, Kansas; 7 grandchildren, Josh (Deena) Green, Lacey (Ryan) Medlen, Brian (Taylor) Green, Tyler (Sarah) Krehbiel, Cody (Cheyenne) Krehbiel, Makayla Lacey, Jay Lacey; and 2 great grandchildren, Carter Medlen, Ezra Krehbiel. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 1 brother.
A private family graveside service will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 9:30 am at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 E. Carey Boulevard, Hutchinson, Kansas, followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 am at First Congregational Church, 3410 N. Plum, Hutchinson, Kansas with Pastor Matt Stafford, presiding. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Congregational Church Scholarship Fund, Good Samaritan Society, or, Hospice House of Reno County, and left in care of the funeral home.
