Shirley Jean Christenson, 57, passed away August 18, 2014 at Hospice house of Reno County, Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born in Denver, Colorado on November 5, 1956, the daughter of Eugene and Geraldine Christenson. She was employed as a commercial retailer for various businesses throughout her life.

She had a passion for ceramics and playing bingo, however, her true passion was her family.

Survivors include 10 children, Michael, Jr., Kenny, Zaron, Robert, Marcus, Cody, Teran, Zanette, Tamara, and Latosha; 1 sister, Charlotte; 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers and 7 sisters.

Visitation will be Monday, August 25, 2014 from 9:30 - 11:30am at Old Mission - Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas. A celebration of life will follow at 12:00 pm. Burial will take place after service at Fairlawn Burial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Shirley Jean Christenson Family Memorial and left in care of the funeral home.
