Shirley Ann Cox, age 88, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away on March 8, 2022.  She was born on July 26, 1933 in Bushton, Kansas to Roy and Anna ( Meier) Haas.
Shirley attended grade school and part of high school in Chase, Kansas and also went to high school in Hutchinson after the family moved.  She had various jobs throughout her lifetime, including school lunch attendant, laundromat attendant, and at a thrift store.

On January 20, 1951 Shirley married Jesse E. Cox in Hutchinson.  He was the love of her life for 70 years until his death on July 19, 2021.

Shirley was also preceded in death by her parents, sister Donna, grandson Aaron Cox, and granddaughter Kelsey Debozy.

Shirley is survived by brother Eugene Haas of Hutchinson, Kansas, son Steven ( Linda) Cox of Abbyville, Kansas, daughters Pamela ( William) Colvin of Hutchinson, Kansas, Susan Willis, of Hutchinson, Kansas, and Lois ( Matt) Maier of Wichita, Kansas.  Grandchildren Shawn, Jason, Bryan, Jesse, and Cody, plus 15 great grandchildren, also many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family present from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Old Mission- Heritage Funeral Home, 528 North Main Street, Hutchinson, Kansas.

Graveside service will be held at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd., Hutchinson, Kansas on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
