Stanley James Ray, 81, passed away at Wesley Towers Retirement Community in Hutchinson, Kansas on December 26 ,2021.  He was born on January 25, 1940 in Ellsworth, Kansas, to James and Elva Ray.  He graduated from Ellsworth High School.

On March 12, 1983 in Hutchinson, Kansas, Stanley and Lorelei were united in marriage.

Stanley served 4 years in the United States Navy.

He is survived by wife, Lorelei Ray, of 38 years of marriage; brothers-in-law, Ronnie Marcum (Annie Lou), Craig Marcum ( Janice), Shawn Marcum (Mikelle), and Jason Marcum ( Katie); sister-in-law, Sherry Smith; niece, Donna Scholoemer; great niece, Deborah Frazer; best buddy, Roger Kruse ( Sharon), and lots of nieces, nephews, and friends.  Stanley is preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Barbara Hutchison.

Cremation has taken place.  A celebration of life service will be held on January 26, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the Bethany Church of the Nazarene, 408 North Kent Road, Hutchinson, Kansas, a graveside service following with military honors at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd., Hutchinson, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Stanley's honor to the Alzheimer's Association.
