Steve Carroll, 58, passed away peacefully in his home on Aug. 28, 2011. He was born March 26, 1953, in Hutchinson, to Bill and Verna Carroll. He attended school in Mount Hope and Haviland and graduated from Pittsburg State University.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Jacklyn. He is survived by his loving and devoted step-children, Cherie Dillon, New York and Mike Dillon, Atlanta, Ga.; sisters, Connie Kincaid, Hutchinson, Veronica Carey, Overland Park, Mollie Gross, Chambersburg, Pa. and Angela Carroll, Overland Park and brothers, Dan Carroll, Hutchinson and Tom "Ace" Carroll, Montrose, Colo. He loved dogs and fast cars and enjoyed tinkering with vintage cars and auto refurbishment.
Cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service at Hospice Care Auditorium in the Trade Center at 1600 N. Lorraine, Hutchinson, on Monday, Sept. 5 at 10:30 a.m. Services are being provided by Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Hutchinson.
