Steven Craig Carmichael, 64, passed away August 13, 2018 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, Kansas. He was born in Pratt, Kansas on July 31, 1954, the son of John and Viola Carmichael. He was a sales representative for Midwest Iron for 39 years.
He was an avid bicycle enthusiast and rode his bike wherever he went – he never owned a car! He collected monopoly board games, coins, and banks. He would listen to his favorite country music, new or traditional while spending time fishing. At home he enjoyed reading old western novels and watching old country movies.
He is survived by 3 brothers, Jim, Carl, and Mike Carmichael; 6 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Cheri Gray.
Per his request cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, August 20, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Old Mission – Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Reno County Animal Shelter and left in care of the funeral home.
