Steven Wayne Richardson, 52, passed away April 9, 2017 at his home in Hutchinson, Kansas. The son of Wesley Edward and Pat Richardson, he was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on March 5, 1965.

He worked for 18 years as a machinist for Consolidated Manufacturing; he loved anything NASCAR and was the ultimate fan of Dale Earnhardt, and Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and even built his own dirt track car. He loved the outdoors and would often lend a hand for anyone that needed help.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Jim Daugherty, 2 sisters, Becky and Sheri; a step-daughter, Rachelle; former wife and friend, Michelle; a step-granddaughter, Sophie; and, caregiver, Phyllis. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Mark.

A gathering for friends and family will be Monday, April 17, 2017 from 9:00 - 11:00 am at Old Mission - Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas. A celebration of life will follow at 11:30 am. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established and gifts may be made to the Steven W. Richardson Memorial Fund and left in care of the funeral home.
