Susan Smith, 78, received her heavenly wings August 3, 2017 at Wesley Towers in Hutchinson, Kansas. The daughter of Meredith and Esther Coppock, she was born May 24, 1939 in Tipp City, Ohio. She was a devoted mother.

A member of Apostolic Faith Tabernacle, she was an avid reader, served people by working as a carry out person at Dillons. She participated as a monitor in the church school program.

Survivors include 1 son, Michael J. (Denise) Smith, 1 daughter, Susan (Douglas) Winze; 1 brother, Jack (Belinda) Coppock; 2 sisters, Maxine (Wade) Gibbons, Joyce Frew; 6 grandchildren, and, 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Joshua Winze, 1 sister Sharon Augustson, a brother in law, Charles Frew.

A gathering for friends and family will be held at Apostolic Faith Tabernacle Church, 1319 E. 17th Street, Hutchinson, Kansas, Monday, August 7, 2017 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. A celebration of life will take place Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 10:00 am at the church. Burial will follow at Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial gifts be made to the Building Fund of Apostolic Faith Tabernacle or to Hope Without Borders Mission Fund.
