Sylvester J.W. Johnson born in Pratt, KS February 17,1939 to the parents of Sylus Williams and Katherine Williams. Owner Operator of Sylvester's Bar-B-Que opened in Hutchinson, KS in 1985 until the year 2001. Sylvester was raised in Pratt, KS and was later a resident of Hutchinson, KS for 25 years. Died July, 5, 2012 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. Survivors include sister Jackie Williams of MO, and a brother. A daughter Felicia (Johnson)Boarnah and husband isaac Bornah of Wichita KS, Grand daughter Ij'mahri A.S. Johnson also of Wichita, grandson Ta'vyon K. Johnson of Wichita KS. Son, Sylvester (Sy) Paul Johnson and fiance Katrina Christenson of Hutchinson, KS grand daughter Macey A. Johnson of Hutchinson, grand daughter Jaelyn K. Johnson of Hutchinson, and nurnourse foster childer. Sylvester was always a hard working business owner of many businesses in Hutchinson as well as Omaha NE. His door and heart was always open to all who came to him for anything. A celebration of life to be held for friends and family on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at 3:00 pm.
