Timothy Steve Lamb, 71, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away October 28, 2019, at Hospice House of Reno County, Hutchinson, Kansas. A lifelong resident of Hutchinson, Kansas, he was born July 15, 1948, the son of Roy and Mildred Lamb. he was a retired screen room operator for Carey Salt Company.
He loved to study science, specifically, Astronomy and Geology. He loved watching science fiction shows and was an active operator with CB radios and ham radios - his CB friends knew him as " Salt Block " and ham radio friends new him by Novic. His greatest joy was his grandchildren - he loved spending as much time with them as possible.
On April 4, 1968, he married Linda Davis in Hutchinson, Kansas. She preceded him in death on October 3, 2018.
Survivors include 2 sons, Mark and Ronald Lamb, both of Hutchinson, Kansas; 1 sister, Charlotte Bennett of Wichita, Kansas; 3 grandchildren, Hannah Victoria, Peyton Allen, and Elijah Gideon. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, and 5 sisters.
A gathering for family and friends will be Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. at Old mission-Heritage Funeral Home, 528 North Main Street, Hutchinson, Kansas, with Bob Phipps presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Timothy Steve Lamb Funeral Fund and left in care of Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home.
