Vicki Lea Martin, 70, passed away November 23, 2018 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, Kansas. The daughter of Dillard and Nora Myers, she was born in Lockwood, Missouri, June 22, 1948.  She was a retired licensed cosmetologist and department manager of Wal Mart.
She was an avid bowler having been a member of numerous leagues in Sterling, Kansas. She was also a master seamstress and quilter as well as an amazing cook. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother – her grandkids were her life.
She married Sammy D. Martin on August 28, 1971 in Nickerson, Kansas. He survives.
Other survivors include 1 son, Travis (Bethany) Martin of Goddard, Kansas; 1 daughter, Dawn (Phillip) Martin; 1 brother, Rick (Louise) Hauschild; 1 sister, Becky Rittenhouse; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother; step father Ted Hauschild; 1 grandson, Justice.
A gathering for friends and family will be held Friday, November 30, 2018 from 3:00 – 4:00 PM at Old Mission – Heritage Funeral Home, 528 N. Main, Hutchinson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Vicki Lea Martin grandchildren education fund and left in care of the funeral home.
