Obituary
William R. "Bill" Hammond, Jr., 66, passed away January 2, 2018 at his home in Wichita, Kansas. He was born in Wichita, Kansas July 29, 1951, the son of William R. Hammond, Sr., and Lola Schiedeman Hammond. He was a retired machinist.
He attended Wichita Public Schools and was veteran of the United States Army, serving in Vietnam and received numerous military honors.
On June 12, 1993, he married Debi Narron, of Hutchinson, Kansas. They later divorced. She survives.
Survivors include: 1 daughter Dakota ( Randy) Hargis of Hutchinson, Kansas; 1 son Lane (Katie) Hammond of Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii and their 2 sons, Carter and Benjamin Hammond; 3 step-children, Kenneth Boyer of Sterling, Kansas; Julia Dunlap of Hutchinson, Kansas, Linsey Miles of Owasso, Oklahoma; 2 brothers, Robert and Allen of Wichita, Kansas; 2 sisters, Debby and Kim of Wichita, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Ronald and Rickey, 1 sister, Janice.
Per his request cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
