William Joe Logue, 70, passed away at his home in Hutchinson, Kansas, November 30, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. The son of William and Effie Logue, he was born in Wichita, Kansas on July 23, 1945. He was a general laborer working in various trades throughout his life.
A graduate of Bentley High School, he was also a veteran of the United States Navy, having served in Vietnam. He loved to go fishing with his kids and grandkids, tinkering with any type of item that needed a good looking at, had a fascination with CB radios, and, back in the day could be found at Chelsea''s with the old coffee gang.
He married Mercedes Nancy Chavez on June 12, 1992 in Hutchinson, Kansas. She survives. Other survivors include 3 sons, Chris (Rose) Logue, Richard (Heather) McGee, Kenneth (Keri) Moore; 1 daughter, Ann (Roger) Gandy, all of Hutchinson; 1 brother, Tom (Connie) Logue, Burrton, Kansas; 1 sister Nancy (Hal) Million, Haysville, Kansas; 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Sidney and John.
Per his request cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held, Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Eastwood Church of Christ, 2500 N. Plum Street, Hutchinson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers the family has established a memorial through American Cancer Society and may be left at the celebration.
