William Ernest West, 86, passed away in Salina, Kansas, November 1, 2022, surrounded by family. He was born in Maysville, Arkansas, February 16, 1936, to Jack West and Goldie Mae (Roques) West. William served in the Air Force for 20 years and 3 years in the National Guard, during that time he moved around to many different places but always thought of Salina as home. He loved to read, go camping, travel and many other outdoor activities. William is preceded in death by his parents, aunts and uncles and he is survived by his wife, of 65 years, Rose West; children, Sheryl Barber, David West, Cindy Hamilton and Mark West; brother, Bradford (Darlene) West; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. His memory will be treasured always.
